Starting today, the repair of the next section begins on one of the most accident-prone streets in Lviv
The section up to Storozhenka St. will be closed.

Starting today, March 23, repairs will begin on the next section of Zaliznychna Street in Lviv – up to Storozhenka St. This was reported by the LCC press service.

Consequently, Zaliznychna St. will be closed to private vehicle traffic from the quasi-ring on Shevchenka St. to Storozhenka St.

During the repair works, the detour of the section under repair will be as follows: During the repair works, the detour of the section under repair will be as follows:

  • from the side of Storozhenka St.: via Shchekavytska St., O. Stepanivny St., Kvitky-Osnovianenka St., Bortnianskoho St., Yunakiva St., and Lutskoho St. with an exit to Shevchenka St.
  • from the side of Shevchenka St.: Bortnianskoho St. or O. Lutskoho St., Brativ Duzhykh St., Brativ Mikhnovskykh St. with an exit to Horodotska St.


As a reminder, the reconstruction of Zaliznychna St. is ongoing in Lviv. Currently, work is being carried out on the section from Yasna St. to the quasi-ring on Shevchenka St.

They plan to open the road for traffic on this section in the spring, and to fully complete the work closer to summer.

As previously reportedby the LCC, the roadway is expected to open in March-April, so that the entire layer of asphalt allows for travel through this section of the street.

272 million in city credit has been allocated for the work from the quasi-ring to Korotka Street.
