In Novorossiysk, Russia, on the night of May 23, a fire broke out at an oil facility after a drone attack. The incident is the latest in a series of strikes on the Russian Federation's energy infrastructure. This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to regional emergency services, fragments of a downed drone caused the fire at the oil storage facility. Fragments also fell on the oil terminal premises, but details of the damage have not yet been disclosed.

Two people were injured as a result of the attack. In addition, a residential building was damaged.

NASA's FIRMS satellite monitoring system has recorded a new thermal anomaly in the area of the "Grushovaya" oil depot, located near the port of Novorossiysk. Such data may indicate a fire at the facility.

The "Grushovaya" oil depot is used to store crude oil and petroleum products, which are then transported to the "Shekharis" terminal – Russia's largest oil export hub on the Black Sea.

Transneft, which owns both facilities, has not yet commented on the incident. Previously, after attacks in April, the operation of the "Shekharis" terminal was temporarily suspended. According to industry analytics, in April, over 544,000 barrels of Russian oil passed through it per day.

Ukrainian military structures have not yet commented on the attack on Novorossiysk.

We remind you that Ukrainian drones are fundamentally changing the rules of the war game, systematically destroying the enemy's logistics and defense capabilities deep behind the lines. In particular, on the night of May 17, Russia experienced one of the largest attacks of the entire war. Ivan Kyrychevsky, an armament expert from Defense Express and a serviceman of the 413th BBS "Reid" Regiment, says that the range and intensity of our strikes will never end.

About how Ukraine has changed its approach to combat, what results of 'deep strikes' the Defense Forces expect, and why even the most modern artificial intelligence is powerless without human resources, read here.
