President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky honored the warrior from Lviv region with a high state award. This was reported by the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

The "Cross of Military Merit" was awarded to a resident of the Zymnivoda community, Major of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi Zoryan Peleh.

"In August 2025, under his command, marines captured dominant heights near Horikhove, destroyed the enemy, and took control of their logistics. In September, near Novopavlivka, the unit repelled four attacks and eliminated occupiers along with their equipment", the statement reads.

From November 2025 to February 2026, Zoryan Peleh's unit held and strengthened defenses in the Pokrovsk – Rodynske direction under intense fighting conditions.
