US President Donald Trump announced that he had already met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France and plans to hold another meeting later on Tuesday. This was reported by "Evropeiska Pravda" citing Trump's statements during a meeting with the Emir of Qatar on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit.
Earlier, The Kyiv Independent reported that Zelensky, Trump, and French President Emmanuel Macron held a trilateral meeting on Tuesday on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.

Answering journalists' questions about the planned meeting with the Ukrainian president, Trump said it had already taken place.
He also emphasized: "Russia must make a deal. Russia has lost a huge number of people, just as Ukraine has."
After that, Trump added that "I will meet with him again later today," likely referring to another conversation with Zelensky.
At the same time, no official confirmation of the planned bilateral meetings between the US and Ukrainian presidents within the G7 summit has been released yet.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump, upon arriving in France for the G7 summit, stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin were allegedly "open to certain steps" to end the war in Ukraine.
On Monday, Zelensky announced that he had proposed a meeting with Putin within the G7 summit in France to discuss possibilities for ending the war. At the same time, according to him, the Russian side "was not ready for negotiations."
