On the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the tragic events of the Ukrainian-Polish confrontation during World War II in Volyn, a commemoration took place near the monument of Ukrainian-Polish reconciliation "Memory – Sorrow – Unity" in the village of Pavlivka. This was reported reported by the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance.
The event was attended, in particular, by the head of the UINP, Oleksandr Alfiorov.

The monument consists of two black marble steles connected at the top by an arch, in the center of which a bell is placed. The words "Memory – Sorrow – Unity" are engraved on the steles in Ukrainian and Polish.
The Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance noted that this place serves as a reminder of the importance of dignified remembrance of all innocent victims, mutual respect, dialogue, and reconciliation between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.
We remind you that historian Ihor Halahida told "Tvoe Misto" the truth and myths about the Volyn tragedy, about 30,000 Ukrainian victims of that period, 20,000 of whom are named, why Sahryń should become a new symbol for Ukrainians, and proposes a constructive approach in the Polish-Ukrainian discussion – not to argue about who started it first and who is to blame.
