On the night of August 11, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Hits were recorded in the capital, resulting in fires, damage to infrastructure, and civilian casualties. This is reported by reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

The attack using ballistic weapons began around 00:30. At 00:55, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported the dispatch of medical teams to the Shevchenkivskyi district, and the Kyiv City Military Administration announced fires in warehouse premises in the same district.

According to the SESU, during the night shelling, the enemy hit the territory of one of the children's hospitals in the Shevchenkivskyi district. As a result of the strike, two craters formed there, and windows and an underground gas pipeline were damaged. The emergency gas service promptly eliminated the gas leak. Since medics and children were in shelters during the attack, no one was injured at this location.

Meanwhile, at another address in the Shevchenkivskyi district, destruction and a large-scale fire were recorded in a warehouse building. Firefighters localized the fire over an area of 1200 square meters. During the aftermath response, rescuers found one injured person and handed them over to medics.
