«The most valuable [asset] our state has is you. As long as your hands aren’t down, as long as your eyes are burning, we have a real chance to win. God forbid that you start to give up and despair, or there will be a collapse.»

With these words, Ukraine’s Minister of Health Viktor Liashko spoke to the medical staff of our hospital today.

Samchuk, the general director, wrote on Facebook about the visit:

«One of the reasons for [the minister’s] visit was completely biased material that recently appeared in some media. People who fall off their feet without seeing their families were accused of improper performance of their duties. In response, the Minister met our people today, with a team that heroically fights day and night for the lives of patients with coronavirus. We now have 442 patients with pneumonia, 38 in the intensive care unit. In the video, you can even hear the beeping of life support devices. This sound has not subsided for many months», Oleh Samchuk wrote.

Also, Viktor Liashko promised to initiate a revision of the coronavirus package.

«The money is really lacking for the patients in a serious condition, who can spend more than a month in a hospital. Viktor Liashko exhorted patients’ relatives who stood in a hall to get vaccinated. Let me recall that among almost half a thousand of our patients with Covid-19, only one is inoculated».

Let us remind you that the Lviv emergency hospital sets up 270 more beds for the Covid patients.
