One-third of Ukrainians were able to implement all or most of their plans in 2021. Another half managed to partially implement the plans, and only 13% said they did not succeed. This is evidenced by the results of the final annual online survey of the Ukrainian Sociological Group «Rating», held 4-7 December this year.

Ukrainians also assessed the success of this year: for every third respondent, it was successful, half of them called it mediocre, and only for every tenth, the year wasn’t successful at all.

Almost 40% of Ukrainians say they are satisfied with their lives, another 30% are rather satisfied, about 20% are not very satisfied and 11% are completely dissatisfied. Slightly more often, younger respondents and men said that they were satisfied with life. Also, the higher the respondents estimate their income, the more successful, in their opinion, was their year.

At the same time, more than 40% of respondents this year often experienced stress. Another 29% noted they were stressed sometimes, 22% – rarely or very rarely and only 7% were never stressed. Low-income people and women were more likely to talk about stress.

The polls were conducted among the population of Ukraine aged 18 and older in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative by age, sex and type of settlement. The sample is 1,600 respondents. Computer-Assisted Self Interviewing (CASI) surveys were conducted based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. Error of representativeness of the study with a confidence level of 0.95: not more than 2.4%.

We will add that previously, Ukrainians named the top 3 achievements of Ukraine in 2021. According to respondents, this is the victory of boxer Oleksandr Usyk (35%), the success of the Ukrainian Paralympians in Tokyo (32%) and the infrastructure program «Big Construction» of president Zelenskyi (31%).
