In the conditions of war, mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, lifecell launch national roaming between mobile operators in test mode. This means that if the connection of one operator disappears, the subscriber will be able to manually connect the network of another operator. This was announced in a joint statement of the operators.

For the reliable functioning of the network, operators will gradually provide the opportunity to use this service to all subscribers. Initially, it will be available to subscribers of the contract form of service in the zone of active hostilities: Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv regions. Then – in Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions and later throughout Ukraine.

In the near future, national roaming will work for subscription subscribers.

You can only connect to another operator manually. How to do it?

1. Disable network auto-selection

Android: Settings – Mobile Network (or Connection) – Operator

iOS: Settings – Cellular Data – Network Selection

2. Find and choose an available network: Vodafone UA, UA-KYIVSTAR, life:) or LIFECELL

3. If you are unable to register, try again or select another network

4. Check the operation of calls and SMS.

Currently, national roaming is available for voice calls and SMS messages in Ukraine from all mobile operators.

We will add that the connection of national roaming involves a significant load on the network of operators, so it may affect the quality of some services.
