Employees of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture recorded the emergency condition of the premises on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, unfit for operation and showing obvious signs of destruction.Investigators have started criminal proceedings regarding the illegal destruction of the object, located on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.This was reported by the Kyiv police.

Ministry of Culture representatives appealed to the police, reporting the damage and destruction detected on one of the buildings.Currently, law enforcement officers are finding out all the details and collecting evidence of illegal actions.

Investigators of the Pechersk Police Department entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations pursuant to Part 2 of Art.298 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - deliberate illegal destruction, ruining or damage of objects of cultural heritage or their parts.The sanction of the article provides for a fine, restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, or deprivation of liberty for the same term, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years or without ii.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing with the aim of bringing the culprits to justice.
