In the center of the capital, for Kyiv Day, three fountains popular among city dwellers were launched on Khreshchatyk. This is reported by said the head of the specialized water utility company "Kyivvodfond" Yuriy Kovtun, writes "Vechirniy Kyiv".

These include the "Cascading" fountain on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the fountain at the foot of the monument to the founders of Kyiv, and the fountain at 25 Khreshchatyk Street.

At the same time, KP "Kyivvodfond" reported that high-tech light and music fountains, which are under the company's balance, will not be launched until the end of the war. This is due to security measures and the need to save electricity during martial law. The head of the company explained that "this is a conscious and responsible decision made considering the need for rational use of resources."

"But even in such difficult times, the capital lives, endures, and continues to preserve its symbols and traditions. For several festive days, the fountains on Khreshchatyk will once again give Kyiv residents and guests of the capital a little light, coolness, and a feeling of peaceful Kyiv, which we all love so much," added Yuriy Kovtun.

Start of the fountain season in the city parks

Meanwhile, in Kyiv parks and squares the fountain operating season has officially begun. This year, 27 fountains will operate in different districts of the capital. They are intended to be centers of coolness and relaxation in the city's green areas during the summer period.
