Since the evening, the capital was attacked by strike drones from several directions, after which the Russians used ballistic and cruise missiles. The consequences of the Russian attack were recorded at more than 30 locations in all districts of Kyiv. In total, more than 20 residential buildings were damaged.
Number of dead and injured
According to the KMLA, as of 9:00 a.m., the number of casualties increased to 86 people, and 13 people died.
Emergency search operations are ongoing at 15 locations, and citizens continue to seek help.
Consequences of Russian strikes by city districts
- Dniprovskyi District: suffered the greatest destruction. As a result of a direct hit on a nine-story residential building, apartments from the first to the sixth floor were destroyed. Units of the State Emergency Service rescued 17 people from the rubble, seven of whom were unblocked. It is known about one dead at this location, and there is also information about missing persons. In addition, due to falling debris, fires broke out in the private sector and a five-story residential building was partially destroyed.
- Shevchenkivskyi District: some of the most serious damage was recorded. A hotel caught fire, a residential building and a medical facility were partially destroyed, and an emergency medical services substation building was damaged. Five ambulance workers (doctors and drivers) were injured, one of the paramedics is in critical condition. A market also caught fire in the district.
- Desnianskyi District: a nine-story residential building was partially destroyed; people were under the rubble. Drone debris also fell near a private house.
- Sviatoshynskyi District: fires broke out in private houses at two addresses. In one of them, people were blocked after debris hit.
- Holosiivskyi District: as a result of the attack, the roof of a multi-story residential building caught fire.
- Obolonskyi District: warehouse premises were damaged, and firefighters were extinguishing the fire throughout the night.
- Pecherskyi District: fires broke out at two addresses near residential buildings.
- Solomianskyi District: a fire was recorded near an administrative building.
- Podilskyi District: the consequences of Russian shelling were also officially recorded.
Operational assistance centers for residents have been set up near the most affected sites, where investigators are accepting applications from victims.
Changes in public transport traffic
Due to the liquidation of the consequences of enemy shelling, lack of voltage, and damage to the contact network, Kyiv's public transport is running late and has changed its routes. According to KP "Kyivpasservice," traffic on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard is currently completely blocked.
The following routes are running with schedule delays:
- Trolleybuses: Nos. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 22-K, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 35, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 50;
- Trams: Nos. 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19.
To ensure passenger transportation, temporary bus services have been additionally organized:
- along the route of tram No. 14 - "Kontraktova Square – V প্রতিফলnyy Prospect";
- along the route of trolleybus No. 41 - "Tuluz Street – Sviatoshyn Metro Station."
Due to the traffic blockage on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, bus routes Nos. 114 and 118 are temporarily routed according to the scheme: Velyka Vasylkivska Street – Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi Street – Volodymyrska Street – Taras Shevchenko Boulevard.
