Tomorrow, July 7, is declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv in memory of the victims of the enemy's massive attack on the capital. The search and rescue operation in the damaged buildings in the Podilskyi and Dniprovskyi districts is still ongoing, as people may still be under the rubble of the buildings. This was reported by the city mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
Ban on entertainment and lowered flags in the city
In connection with the tragic events and the large number of victims, the city authorities are introducing strict restrictions on holding any mass events. The capital bows its head in grief for the innocent Kyiv residents who died.

The mayor urged radio and television companies and cultural institutions to make appropriate changes to their broadcasting programs and work plans. Currently, all efforts of communal services and volunteers are focused on coordination points where assistance is provided to those affected.
Updated data on the consequences of the massive attack on the capital region
The deployment of aid and the declaration of mourning took place against the backdrop of the catastrophic consequences of another shelling. As of now, the deaths of 11 people in Kyiv itself have been officially confirmed, including children. The number of injured in the city has reached 43 people, and medics continue to provide them with the necessary emergency care in hospitals.
The most difficult situation remains in the Podilskyi district of the capital, where continuous emergency rescue operations are underway at the impact site of a nine-story residential building.
There, large-scale destruction of structures occurred from the ninth to the fifth floor, and the SES detachment is clearing reinforced concrete slabs amidst kilometers of debris in search of those who are out of contact.
In total, at least 15 residential buildings in several districts of the city suffered damage and destruction of varying degrees, and in the Kyiv region, the city of Vyshneve suffered the most destruction, where three people died and another 15 were injured due to the combined attack.
