An updated interactive map with shelters for the Lviv residents was created in the city. Currently, there are about 6,000 places to hide in case of an emergency situation. According to Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi, this should be enough for a safe stay for all residents.
Shelters are located in the underground rooms of residential buildings and shopping centres. Residents are urged to check access to their basement and talk about it with neighbours.

«We hope that we will never have to use shelters, but it is important to check,» – he said.
As the City Council’s press service reported in a comment to Lviv Now, the map was worked on by the «City Centre of Information Technology» together with district administrations and the Department of Emergencies and Civil Protection. You can view it on the link.
It will be recalled that the Law of Ukraine «On the Fundamentals of National Resistance» came into force on 1 January. In order to enlist in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces, residents can apply to the district staffing and social support centre at the place of registration.
