The British government has decided to temporarily relocate some embassy staff and their relatives from Kyiv to Lviv, where they will open an office to provide consular services. This was reported on the British government’s website.
It was noted that the embassy in Kyiv remains open, but it won’t be able to provide consular assistance. The fact that the British mission remains in the capital of Ukraine was stated by the British Ambassador Melinda Simmons on her Twitter.
At the office in Lviv, the citizens will be served only by appointment. Amid a possible Russian invasion, Britain has called on its citizens to leave Ukraine.
